CHAPTER 14

THE WAITING OFFICIALLY BEGINS
So, I finally have the 3 copies of our completed picture profile in hand and, Lord willing, I will be dropping them off at the Antioch Adoptions office tomorrow after work. (I won't bore you with the hassle and frustrations that went into the printing process. Suffice to say, I have no doubt it was a part of my sanctification process!) Before I took the profile to the printers, I took it by the office and got great feedback from the two Antioch Adoptions workers we've been dealing with most recently. That was very encouraging.

And with that, we have finally completed our tasks and are left to pray and wait. We are so eager to see who and what God has in store for us and, in the mean time, we have been thoroughly enjoying our second niece, Adelaide, born to Joseph's sister and her family on Saturday, August 12th. Her early arrival (by 9 days) was an answer to my prayers. I was just aching to hold babies and I've had plenty of opportunities for that now.

We're hoping to get together with our PRIDE group in September. Several families have had placements since we last got together and we are eager to meet their children and hear their stories. And last Sunday, we got to meet our pastor's 3 month old daughter that they just brought home from the East Coast. It was such a blessing to see their longing fulfilled in this beautiful little girl.

I think if I keep writing, I'll just end up rambling. I really have no idea when I'll write another update. I don't imagine it would be until we find out that our profile will be presented to some birthparents.
